Center for Indonesian Reform (CIR) is a policy-relevant research institution that was established in 20 November 2001 by pro-reform activists to bring on and enlighten a new democratic Indonesia that meets the reform agenda.

CIR envisions itself as a non-governmental organization that works independently or impartially, and to be a nationally trusted research institution. To enhance this role, CIR collaborates with other NGOs either domestically or internationally and becomes a member of WANGO (World
Association of Non-Governmental Organizations)
